In 2023, 86% of our parcels delivered consisted of point-to-point drop-offs within 50km of dispatch. This means your goods are sent on one vehicle, in one trip, avoiding the carbon-intensive practice of processing and transferring parcels via a depot. How do we do this:
Since 2018, our Brisbane warehouse has operated on 100% renewable power, translating to 85% of all orders being picked and packed exclusively using solar power.
We prioritise sustainability by reusing the cartons received into our Brisbane warehouse, last year giving over 20,000 boxes a second lifecycle before recycling or disposal. This practice not only reduces waste but also minimises carbon emissions by eschewing the fancy branding often associated with national chains.
We proudly offer free ink and toner recycling, collecting and accepting your empty cartridges. Our commitment to sustainability extends through our participation in the Planet Ark “Cartridges 4 Planet Ark” recycling program, which has recycled over 49 million cartridges since its inception in 2003.
When you buy from local businesses, more of your money circulates within the local economy, supporting the growth of local businesses and creating job opportunities within the community. Local businesses also offer unique and niche products, promoting variety and creativity in the market.
In 2023, 23% of the goods we sold came from Queensland-owned and operated companies, a number that continues to rise. In 2024, we proudly introduce Merlo Coffee Beans to our product offering, a 100% Queensland-owned and operated coffee manufacturer.
Local businesses contribute to the unique character of the community. With over 40 years of operation in Brisbane and a presence in Fortitude Valley since 2005, we are deeply ingrained in the fabric of our vibrant city. By supporting us, you help preserve the distinctiveness and charm of our community.
